For fifteen years, social photography became a performance. Filters replaced light. Algorithms replaced curation. Generative AI began replacing reality itself.

We built Humana for the moment when you stop trusting what you see on a screen. Every photograph in Humana carries a cryptographic signature. A C2PA manifest issued the moment you publish, with the instant of capture written into it. A SHA-256 of the signed file, published beside the photograph for anyone to recompute. Not as a watermark — as a record you can check.

There is no gallery upload. No second chances. The camera opens. You see. You capture. You publish. What appears in Humana is what existed in front of your lens, the instant you decided it was worth keeping.

This is the proof.

Three layers of provable origin.

Each photograph in Humana passes through three layers that record where it came from. Tampering with any one breaks the chain, and the break is visible.

01

Native Capture

A custom iOS camera built from scratch. No gallery upload. No post-processing. The photograph goes from the sensor straight into the post, and the shutter instant travels with it — that instant is what the signature will declare. Camera metadata is stripped.

NATIVE CAMERA · SHUTTER TIME · NO EXIF
02

Cryptographic Signature

Server-side, every photograph is signed using C2PA — the Content Authenticity standard backed by Adobe, Microsoft, BBC and Sony. ECDSA P-256, with the key held in Google Secret Manager. The manifest declares a camera capture and its time, and the SHA-256 of the signed file is published with it. Tampering breaks the seal.

C2PA · ECDSA P-256 · SHA-256
03

Public Verification

Every post has a public record, accessible by QR code. Anyone — Humana user or not — can open it from any browser, download the file and recompute its SHA-256 against the one published there. The signature accounts for the origin of the file. The identity of the signer is verified inside Humana.

QR · PUBLIC URL · OPEN STANDARD

No algorithm.
Just people.

A chronological feed — never engagement bait. No infinite scroll designed to consume your evening. No notifications engineered to drag you back.

anyone can check.

Every photograph in Humana has a public record page. A QR code opens it — accessible to anyone, without an account, without an app.

The same standard adopted by The New York Times, BBC News and Adobe Photoshop. Open. Auditable. Edit one byte and the manifest stops validating.
